What started as middle school banter soon became the kind of friendship everyone hopes for—late-night conversations, endless inside jokes, and a comfort that only grew stronger with time. By high school, Bobby, now a freshman, finally admitted his feelings. Jordyn hesitated—worried that dating might ruin the one friendship she treasured most. But after a little soul-searching (and realizing Bobby wasn’t going to give up that easily), she decided to take a leap of faith. On June 4, 2016, Jordyn said yes to their very first date. Bobby remembers thinking, even then, that this was the start of something he never wanted to end.

From that moment on, their story became more than texts and hallway smiles—it became an adventure. Over the years, they’ve traveled together to Disney World more times than they can count, strolled hand-in-hand through Disneyland’s California Adventure park for the Oogie Boogie Halloween Party, soaked up the sun in Myrtle Beach, sang along in Nashville, explored the history of Washington D.C., and wandered in the lights of New York City at Christmas time.

And it was in New York, after nine years together, that Bobby pulled off his greatest surprise yet. On December 22, 2024, at Belvedere Castle in Central Park - with Jordyn’s parents and sister secretly waiting nearby - he got down on one knee and asked the question they’d both known the answer to for a long time. Jordyn, completely caught off guard, said yes through happy tears.
